I will be needing an independent living facility when I retire and I love NH. Jeff, the head of food design and creation was my tour guide. I want my food to have flavor even when I am too old to know what I want. Jeff not only gave me a great tour, but spoke to me about all the choices the residences get with food. Anytime dining is such a plus for independent seniors. We can enjoy our meals on our schedule and preferences not the facilities.

My mother's in need of memory care and my father needs a safe place, but also so he could be near her. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. They helped a lot 'cause my father was old and nervous about moving, it was a big step, and they really made him feel welcome, important, and happy. And my mother, they were very accommodating to her too.

I have been at the Residence at Salem Woods for almost a year and have participated in activities daily. I really enjoy the activities they offer here.I love the people here. Residence At Salem Woods is a nursing homes facility located in Cincinnati, OH. According to state surveyors, “the facility failed to ensure residents were free from verbal abuse by a staff member.” The deficient practice affected four residents.
There was nothing that I didn't like, and I thought all of them would have been a good place for my dad. It was just a matter of his personal preferences. And he just liked the layout of the rooms better at another place.
They not only supported my ill wife, but me in my grief throughout this long difficult ordeal. Toward the end we almost became like family when my wife finally passed away, two of them even came to the wake , the floor manager and nurse's aid. Towards the end they even got her an air mattress to prevent bed sores and a extended wheel chair and a hospital bed at no cost. The facility is relatively new and so has all the newer items such as rooms, bathrooms, large outdoor patio, library, dining room etc.
